Description
The Barbera grape variety is without a doubt the most classic among the varieties grown on the hills in the Asti area. The vineyards are characterised by predominantly marl-clay soils, with quartz sands and silt. This creates a fragrant wine that has a vigorous but balanced character and can fully express its bouquet.
Marchesi di Barolo Barbera d’Asti Rurè is a vibrant, ruby-red Piedmontese red with high acidity, showcasing intense aromas of blackberry, red fruit jam, vanilla, and toasted hazelnut. This medium-to-full-bodied wine is characterized by its velvety texture, bright fruity palate, and a subtle, well-integrated hint of oak.
Nose: Fruity notes of plum and black cherry prevail.
Taste: The body is full and elegant, with great persistence and freshness. The finish is Smooth with well-integrated tannins.
Pairing: Ideal with pasta with meat sauce, grilled or roasted meats, and aged cheeses.
