Description
Ferdinando Principiano’s Barolo Boscareto is the estate’s flagship single-vineyard wine, sourced from old vines in the Boscareto Cru in Serralunga d’Alba. Known for its traditional, low-intervention profile, the wine typically exhibits a garnet-red colour with orange hues and a complex, structured palate.
Nose: Characterised by deep floral notes of rose petals and violets, combined with ripe red and dark fruits such as raspberries, cherries, and plums.
Taste: Full-bodied and opulent with a velvety yet firm mouthfeel. It is defined by its austere tannins and high acidity, providing a long, fragrant finish.
Pairing: Pairs ideally with braised beef (Brasato al Barolo), porcini mushroom risotto, wild game, or seasoned cheeses.
