Planeta Mamertino Rosso is a, sicilian red wine, traditionally produced in Milazzo, Sicily. Made from a blend of Nero d’Avola (60%) and Nocera (40%), this D.O.C. wine displays an intense, ruby red color with violet reflections. It features a robust, full-bodied profile with notes of mediterranean scrub, black cherry, and jammy berries.
Nose: Explosive Mediterranean scrub (maquis), jammy black fruit, blue fruit, and hints of spice.
Taste: Powerful and complex, with dense but refined tannins. It offers flavours of dark berries, cherries, plum, and tobacco. Medium to full-bodied with a long, balanced, and sometimes salty finish.
Pairing Suggestions: Pairs well with hearty, savoury dishes like roasted meats, lamb, stews, and matured cheeses.
