Description
Marchesi di Barolo Moscato d’Asti Zagara is a fragrant, semi-sparkling dessert wine from Piedmont, Italy, renowned for its intense bouquet of orange blossoms and stone fruits. With a low alcohol content of 5% ABV, it offers a sweet yet refreshing palate balanced by moderate acidity and fine, persistent bubbles. Produced from 100% Moscato Bianco grapes with approximately 130-140g/l of residual sugar. Experts from Wine Enthusiast have previously awarded it 88 points.
Nose: Intense notes of orange blossom (from which it takes the name “Zagara”), white peach, apricot, sage, and pear.
Taste: Delicately sweet and fresh with a smooth, well-balanced mouthfeel in perfect balance with the low alcohol content and the acidity.
Pairing: Perfectly complements fruit-based desserts, pastries, and classic Italian hazelnut nougat (torrone). Best served chilled between 6-8°C to enhance its floral fragrances.
Ideal as a festive celebratory drink or a refreshing thirst-quencher at any time of day.
