Description
Feudi di San Gregorio Greco di Tufo is a prestigious white wine from the Campania region of Southern Italy. It is crafted by Feudi di San Gregorio, a leading winery known for championing indigenous grapes. The wine is produced in the Irpinia area on volcanic, chalky, and, tufa soils, which contribute to its distinct minerality. It is typically fermented in stainless steel tanks at 16-18°C and aged for about four months on its lees to enhance its creamy texture.
Nose: Intensely aromatic with scents of stone fruits (apricot, peach), citrus (grapefruit), pear, melon, and subtle hints of herbs, white flowers, and balsam.
Taste: Full-bodied, well-balanced, and velvety. It features a marked, spicy minerality, a refreshing, crisp acidity, and a long,, sometimes bitter almond-like finish.
Pairing: Pairs excellently with raw fish, sushi, buffalo mozzarella, and white meat dishes.
